Welcome to trustus
(formally Tallaght Welfare Society) working with the community for the community since 1969. Our organisation works to improve the lives of local people in the South County Dublin area through voluntary and community action.
We provide a wide range of supportive local community services and projects, for any person needing them; whether they are senior citizens, disabled, young people, unemployed or any person who finds themselves overwhelmed and in need of some support to get through.
A sample of the key projects and community services we offer include:
- Community employment: training and education opportunities
- Network development and support
- Home Care Services (Home Help)
- Senior Citizens Day Centre
- Meals on Wheels service
- Lobbying
- Seminars and awareness raising
Originally established as the Community Welfare Service, Tallaght Welfare Society (TWS) played a principle role in developing many of the key community services currently operating in Tallaght. As we are now expanding our range of services across the South County Dublin area the organisation is rebranding to highlight our 40th anniversary and will henceforth be known as .
However, changing the name does not change our core values or the guiding principles of the organisation. We will still focus on individual rights such as respect, freedom from poverty and injustice; the right to education, employment and the opportunity to make a difference. Through voluntary and community action, by direct and supported service provision, embracing existing and proposed new partnership arrangements along with the continued support of our generous sponsors, we at look forward to building on our past successes and achieving even more over our next 40 years.
